• 24 state-of-the-art OR suites
• Specialties include: Neuro, ENT, Ortho, Vascular, Urology, Plastics, Thoracic, Robotics & more
• Strong oncology patient focus
• 40+ surgical cases daily — fast-paced, diverse, and never routine!
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care using our Relationship-Based Care Model
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses
• Apply advanced critical thinking and assessment skills in a surgical environment
• Participate in patient goal-setting and care planning
• Communicate and document care effectively
• Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and teammates
• Perform scrub role duties
• Receive placement on our nursing career ladder based on your experience and education
• 2+ years of nursing experience STRONGLY preferred.
• Operating room experience is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.
• Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.
  
  

Licensure/Certification

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• UPMC approved national certification preferred.
• Fit Testing Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance
